What would've been help is if someone started scavenging for pieces of that bomb, or talking to the others about what they might've seen. But because everyone was too concerned either trying to get away from Ren's rampage, or stop it, no one had time for that. )

[ they're going to find who planted that bomb and there'll be hell to pay, because Sam may have a stronger moral compass that half the people here, but he's no saint. but the chances it would've been someone lying around at the time Ren finally snapped are absurdly small. why would the bomber put themselves inside the blast range? ]

[ he can’t honestly make any real sense out of what the Darkling’s saying, doesn’t understand the logic, or how it came out the way it did. How it turned into him insisting on fueling Ren while he was kicking the crap out of Steve. How giving him that boost had anything to do with comfort to begin with.

But he’s just as done with this as the Darkling is. They aren’t seeing eye to eye and he doubts they will. There’s a mental note to watch him, watch what he does with Ilde and Ren, but otherwise, he’s letting it go for now.

Larger things to worry about. With a vague sentiment of agreement, he lets the connection go as well. ]
